Which Former Basketball Wives LA Star Was Recently Sued for $170K for Violating a Federal Law?
The third season of Basketball Wives LA revved into high gear in last night’s February 17 premiere — much thanks to the addition of three fresh faces. Brittish Williams, Sundy Carter, and Brandi Maxiell bring a new energy (re: drama) to the show, and we’re excited to see where this new year brings us.
And while we’re enjoying the new outing, we do also miss the many departed cast members. While these women are no longer gracing our TV screens on the VH1 reality hit each week, you better believe that the drama is still continuing in their lives off-screen — one lady in particular.
During last night’s February 17 premiere of Basketball Wives LA,Wetpaint Entertainment asked Viggle LIVE! users which former star recently encountered some tough legal issues in the form of a $170K lawsuit: Brooke Bailey, Laura Govan or Tanya Williams?

It would appear that most users haven’t been keeping up with the departed Wives, as the vote was very split. About 42 percent guessed correctly that it was Laura Govan who got into the sticky legal situation, while 34 percent thought that it was Season 1 castoff Tanya Williams who was sued. Finally, 24 percent went with Brooke Bailey as the troubled gal.
Laura Govan, who left the VH1 show after Season 2, was recently slapped with a $170K lawsuit after her bar, Kimball’s Carnival, reportedly broadcast and profited off of a boxing match that they weren’t licensed to show. Huh, we didn’t take Laura to be much of a boxing aficionado, but what do we know?
