Chris Brown Sued by Frank Ocean’s Cousin Over Bodyguard Attack

Remember that whole Chris Brown versus Frank Ocean over a parking spot thing that happened back in January? Yeah, well, that’s a thing again.

Earlier today news broke that Frank Ocean’s cousin has filed a lawsuit against Chris claiming the singer’s bodyguard beat him up in the Westlake Recording Studios parking lot on January 27. How’s Chris involved? The notorious entertainer egged the guard on, says Frank’s cousin, Sha’Keir Duarte.

TMZ reports that the bodyguard, who supposedly goes by the nickname Hood, “punched and kicked the crap out of [Sha’Keir], including at least 12 kicks to the body and several to the head while he lay on the ground.” Ouch.

Brown also reportedly verbally assaulted Sha-Keir including the parting comment, “You just got your a-- beat and it’s all on camera.” Sha’Keir’s lawyers, take note.

Frank Ocean, you’ll recall, elected to not press charges after the incident.

Further details of the suit have yet to be released with Brown not responding (yet) to TMZ’s request for comment. The Wrap reports that Sha’Keir claims to have suffered “great mental, physical, and nervous pain and suffering” and will likely be seeking general and punitive damages in addition to court costs and attorney’s fees.

Chris, it might be time to break out that checkbook...again.
