American Horror Story: Freak Show — Michael Chiklis Cast As Evan Peters’ Dad! (VIDEO)

Who's your Freak Show daddy? It's The Shield's Vic Mackey, aka actor Michael Chiklis!

The Emmy winner was cast on American Horror Story Season 4, aka Freak Show, which will be set in Jupiter, Florida in 1950. Michael will play the father of Evan Peters' character; Evan's mom will be played by Kathy Bates, and Michael plays her ex-husband.

Evan tweeted his excitement at the news: “@AHS_FreakShow!! Pumped @MichaelChiklis is gonna be my dad and @MsKathyBates is gonna be my mom! Whhhaaaaattt?!?!?! Amazing.” Michael shared the photo shown, writing, “Son! I couldn't be more proud @tweetsonurface!”

Aww! Don’t you love this family already? If you didn't watch The Shield (Netflix it, it's worth it!), you may know Michael, 50, from The Commish, Fantastic Four, No Ordinary Family or Vegas. Evan has been with AHS from the beginning and Kathy joined the troupe with Season 3’s Coven.

Other AHS regulars are also returning for more. As Entertainment Weekly recently revealed, Jessica Lange will play a German expatriate who runs one of the U.S.’s sole surviving freak shows and her band of rescued performers (aka "unusuals") will be played by Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Kathy Bates, Angela Bassett, and Frances Conroy. Emma Roberts and Denis O'Hare are also said to be negotiating returns to the franchise. According to TVLine, Gabourey Sidibe and Jamie Brewer will also be back.

AHS4 will have a 13-episode run, starting later this year. No premiere date has been released, but since every other season has launched in October, that's probably going to continue.

Are you ready to run away and join the circus? It should be pretty freakin' cool.
