Pretty Little Liars only has ten episodes left ever, but at least it’s coming back in reality TV show form!

Actually, sorry. We’re totally lying about the last part. But Freeform’s new reality series, The Letter, has so much in common with PLL it’s crazy.

The new relationship-based show is the first of its kind for the teen-friendly network, with each episode focusing on a different group of four real-life diverse best girl friends. You’re already seeing the PLL resemblances, right?

In every weekly one-hour installment, each of the participants will anonymously write a letter to one of her BFFs, detailing what she thinks the recipient can improve upon to better her life, whether it’s cutting out toxic boyfriends, focusing too much on her diet, or not prioritizing her friends.

The girls will follow all the instructions and rules outlined in their letters, and then, by week’s end, come face-to-face with the person who wrote it and share what they learned about themselves in the process.

It’s definitely scary to be this confrontational with your besties, but can you imagine how much better their friendships will (hopefully) be after completing the exercise?

Besides, the letters in this show are a lot more detailed and a lot less sketchy than “A”’s hand-written treasures on PLL, so that’s always a plus.
