FX Renews American Horror Story for Season 4

Even though we haven't escaped the clutch of Season 3's Coven, FX has renewed American Horror Story for Season 4, ordering 13 episodes to debut in 2014.

In a press release, CEO John Landgraf had nothing but praise for the hit Emmy-winning anthology series and the cast and crew responsible.

"Put simply, Ryan Murphy is a master television producer. Time and time again he reinvents the form. What he, co-creator Brad Falchuk, [their] producers … and the entire production team and cast responsible for the American Horror Story franchise have done is nothing short of extraordinary. Every year, they create a riveting and brilliant new miniseries. AHS: Coven is the best yet, and I have no doubt that the next installment will be even better."

Indeed, the ratings for Coven seem to back up his claims, as this season is earning an average of 83 percent more viewers than Season 2 (Asylum) and 77 percent more than Season 1 (Murder House).

In fact, as FX asserts, AHS is on track to become the most popular show among 18-to-34-year-olds in the network's history!

Sounds like a lot of brave TV viewers are enjoying the thrills and chills and will undoubtedly be glad to know that they have a whole new story to which to look forward (or dread) next year!
