If you had a baby girl in 2012, the odds are better than ever before that you named her Arya. The coolest kid on Game of Thrones is now has the fastest growing name for baby girls born in the U.S., according to the Social Security Administration’s annual report.

Arya rose in popularity from number 711 in 2011 (which is already way higher than we'd personally expect), all the way to number 413 last year. That's quite a leap!

We can’t say we’re surprised, as we think Arya’s awesomeness level on the show has risen as well, thanks to her run-ins with Jaqen H’ghar last season. We wouldn't be surprised to see the trend to continue in 2013, too. After her adventures with The Brotherhood without Banners and the Hound this season, maybe "Arya" will shoot up to the top of the list.

(On the other hand, after Melisandre's rambling about the men Arya is going to kill and Arya's insistence that her one true god is Death, maybe parents should think twice...)

Also, in case you’re wondering, “Joffrey” didn’t even make the list of the top 1000 names. Score one for Team Stark!
