Sansa Stark’s recent wedding to Tyrion Lannister on Game of Thrones is likely the biggest turning point for the character we’ve seen so far, so what does actress Sophie Turner, who plays Sansa, have to say about it?

“It basically means that she is kind of trapped in King's Landing with absolutely no means of escape,” Sophie tells Vulture, “She's denied her only route out. So she's pretty stuck at the moment. It means she has more responsibilities, more duties. It's never a good time for her.” She’s got that right. Like most Starks, poor Sansa never has a good time.

On the subject of whether Sansa could ever learn to love Tyrion, Sophie opines, “I think that if she and Tyrion became good friends, she'd probably wind up convincing herself she was in love with him.” Watch out, Shae, looks like the competition for Tyrion’s affection is heating up!

Sophie also discussed what goes on behind the scenes of the show, like Peter Dinklage’s drunk acting: “Good old Peter. He's good at playing drunk, isn't he?” says Sophie, “He was doing all this stuff to distract us and make us laugh, like falling over, when we were filming. It was so hard to concentrate.”

As for Sansa’s old flame, Joffrey, Sophie reveals that Jack Gleeson, who portrays Joffrey, is far less sadistic off camera. Sophie reveals, “He's the most polite, lovely, intelligent person in the whole cast! He's just so humble and everyone loves him. There's nothing anyone can say bad about Jack.” Joffrey is a nice guy in real life? Mind. Blown.

In addition to Jack Gleeson being a nice guy, he and Sophie apparently make beautiful music together between scenes, literally: “We rap a lot on set,” claims Sophie, “I should say he's the one that does all the rapping, I just give him the beat.” A rap duo of Joffrey and Sansa? This has to make it into the show somehow! Maybe they can do a rap verse for “The Rains of Castamere”: “I got 99 problems, but the Reynes ain’t one.” Sounds good to us!
