On Game of Thrones, Kerry Ingram portrays Shireen Baratheon, the grey-scale inflicted daughter of Stannis. She also happens to have a lovely singing voice (probably not a surprise once you learn she's famous for playing Matilda in the musical Matilda). Now, you can have Kerry's voice on your listening device of choice, thanks to the Game of Thrones Season 3 soundtrack, which is currently available for purchase.
Fans may recall Kerry's haunting rendition of the song “It’s Always Summer Under the Sea” from Season 3, Episode 5, “Kissed By Fire.” That song is featured on the new album, Game of Thrones (Music from the HBO Series) Season 3, out today in stores, and on iTunes and other digital relaters.
Readers of the A Song of Ice and Fire series may recall the song being sung by Patchface, Shireen’s fool, who has thus far been absent from the television series. The song’s lyrics paint a bizarre picture of everything being opposite under the sea, where Patchface was said to have lived for two whole days before washing ashore. Fun.
Will “It’s Always Summer Under the Sea” be the next hot new summer jam?! Probably not, but you can give a listen to the eerie tune here.
The Season 3 soundtrack features 19 songs together, including several twists on the opening theme, and The Hold Steady's awesome rendition of "The Bear and the Maiden Fair."
