Warning: This article contains spoilers for the Game of Thrones Season 3 finale AND the A Song of Ice and Fire book series.

If you just finished watching the Game of Thrones Season 3 finale, "Mhysa", you've probably got some huge, looming questions that need answers, stat. The biggest cliffhanger revolves around if Jon Snow (Kit Harrington) is dead or alive. Of course, we're all rooting for Jon Snow, because who doesn't love Jon Snow?

To quickly recap: Jon's on the run from the Wildlings (and his ginger love, Ygritte), but on his trek to return to the Wall, he runs into Ygritte, who is looking to kill. But she's also got a soft spot for the man who knows nothing. At that point, Jon professes his love for her before she shoots him in the back, and tearfully continues to shoot him as he rides off. Talk about emotional! (Note: In the books, Jon only gets shot once by Ygritte, and what happens after that is quite a different story!)

Based on the books, we know he's integral to a huge, upcoming Game of Thrones Season 4 battle, and there's much more of his story to tell.

On his character's future in in the books and in the TV series, actor Kit Harrington tells The Wall Street Journal, "I don’t know who [Jon Snow's] mother is, I don’t know what is going to happen to him, I don’t know if he’s going to be in the sixth book. Not a clue." There. Now you know as much as we do.
