A few weeks ago, we learned that Pedro Pascal will embody epic badass Oberyn Martell on Game of Thrones Season 4. Now, thanks to Entertainment Weekly, we have confirmation that his beloved paramour, the seductive and sexually adventurous Ellaria Sand, will also be coming to the new season, and she'll be played by Indira Varma.

Indira joins a growing list of former Rome stars, such as Ciarán Hinds (Mance Rayder) and Tobias Menzies (Edmure Tully), who are now significant characters in the Game of Thrones world. Indira played Niobe, wife of Lucius Vorenus, on Rome. Other notable projects include Luther, Bride and Prejudice, and Torchwood.

As fans of Rome, we're thrilled to see Indira travel to Westeros, and as fans of Ellaria, we're even more excited for this conformation that the show is keeping her in. It doesn't hurt that we think Indira is a perfect fit for the role. In the books, Ellaria is described as eye-catching, dark haired, "exotic" and sensuous. Indira fits the bill.

What do you think of this casting? Are you excited to see Ellaria on the show? Sound off in the comments below.
