Some of the best scenes on Game of Thrones occur between the dysfunctional father and son duo of Tywin (Charles Dance) and Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage), and according to Peter Dinklage, we can expect even more of that dynamic in Season 4.
Peter tells Access Hollywood, “Anybody who reads the books ... knows we have some interesting things coming up this season between father and myself.” "Interesting" is one way to put it, since this quote seems to back up our predictions about what goes down between Tyrion and Tywin next season.
Unlike Tyrion’s feelings towards Tywin, Peter has tremendous respect for Charles Dance. He says of the man who plays his father, “He’s incredible. I’ve always been a fan of his before meeting him. He’s just a true gentleman.”
Peter also mentioned the possibility of another collaboration between himself and Charles, one unrelated to Game of Thrones. He reveals, "We have the greatest conversations on and off set over dinners and things, and we’re trying to get another project off the ground — him and I, separate from Game of Thrones. That’s how much we like working with each other, but we’ll see what happens with that. I have high hopes."
A Tywin and Tyrion spinoff? Let’s hope it’s not a remake of Father Knows Best!
