HBO’s Game of Thrones has picked up yet another award for its fantastic third season!

Our favorite epic fantasy show scored the award for Outstanding Achievement in Drama at the Television Critics Association Awards, held on Saturday, August 3, 2013, in Beverly Hills. GOT defeated the likes of Mad Men, Homeland, The Americans, and Breaking Bad to take home the top drama award, but lost the night’s top prize, Program of the Year, to Breaking Bad.

GoT and Breaking Bad appear to be gaining momentum heading into September’s Emmy Awards, with the two shows previously tieing for Best Drama Series at the Critics’ Choice Awards in June. GoT also won the Audience Award as the British public’s favorite program at the BAFTA Awards in May.

With just over a month left until the Emmys, we’re happy to see that GoT continues to build momentum towards hopefully earning its rightful prize as the best drama on television!
