With Game of Thrones Season 3 a distant memory, it’s now time to turn our attention to what may lie ahead in Season 4. Since GoT is based on the book series A Song of Ice and Fire (ASOIAF), we can make some good guesses about how the story will play out next season, at least in broad strokes. Here are our predictions about what's coming up for the Dany’s biggest fan, Ser Jorah Mormont, based on the latter half of A Storm of Swords.

Disclaimer: Of course, the show may cut plot elements or even completely alter Jorah's story. These are spoilers based on the books only

Jorah gets jelly. We’ve already seen the way Jorah acts around Daario Naharis, and he’s usually doing his best McKayla Maroney impression, i.e., he’s not impressed. Daario and Dany are going to keep growing closer, and Jorah is going to become even more jealous of the sellsword who could pass for an Abercrombie and Fitch model. Jorah, you’re on the same team!

Jorah makes his move. In ASOIAF, Jorah kisses Dany and professes his love for her before Daario is even introduced as a character. So far, the show has only hinted at his love for her, but he has never kissed her, so we’re thinking that next season would be a prime opportunity for him to try and break out of the friendzone. How will Dany react to the kiss? Let’s just say she doesn’t share his feelings. Awk-ward.

Jorah gets exiled... again. The whole reason Jorah is in Essos to begin with is because he was exiled from Westeros by Ned Stark for selling slaves. Fast forward to the present, and Jorah’s about to get exiled again. In the books, Dany boots Jorah from her camp after Ser Barristan tells her that Jorah used to report on her comings and goings to Robert Baratheon. The show did address this last season, when Jorah asked Ser Barristan if he had been privy to what was discussed at the king’s small council meetings (like, maybe, Jorah’s work as a spy) and Barristan said he didn’t sit on the small council. So, either Ser Barristan isn’t showing all of his cards, or the show will come up with another reason for Dany to get so mad at Ser Jorah that she can’t stand the sight of him anymore. Maybe it could be the kiss (seems harsh) or maybe something involving Daario, but one thing we’re pretty sure of is that Dany and Jorah will no longer be BFFs come the end of Season 4.
