Recently there’s been a lot of back-and-forth reports on who’s playing whom on Season 4 of Game of Thrones. In just the past month, we’ve had three star characters recast and conflicting reports on who will get the plum role of Brown Ben Plumm (see what we did there?).
We first heard the British actor, producer, and writer would be joining the cast back in July. At the time, details were few and far between about who he would actually star as (though we had our suspicions it would be someone in the North). Now we have a name: Tycho Nestoris.
Don’t remember Tycho from the books? That’s okay. He was a fairly minor character in the most recent installment, A Dance With Dragons. Fair warning: If you’re not worried about spoilers, keep reading. If you’d rather keep this particular character a mystery, we suggest you leave now and get going on your George R.R. Martin syllabus.
Back to Tycho: He was the less than friendly Iron Bank of Braavos representative who came a-knockin’ at the Wall looking to collect from Stannis Baratheon (Stephen Dillane) only to end up talking with Jon Snow (Kit Harington). Seeing as this is all fairly far down the road for GoT, could HBO execs be speeding up the timeline for Season 4? And if so, who and what else will the next series hold? Oh the possibilities!
