If you thought the Red Wedding was bad, prepare for Season 4 of Game of Thrones.

“It doesn’t get any easier this season,” Kit Harington (Jon Snow) said in a recent interview with Access Hollywood. “It’s kind of high-octane, action-packed.”

Jon should know. At the end of last season the Man of the Night’s Watch was literally shot in the back by his recently ex-girlfriend Ygritte (Rose Leslie) after he stabbed her in her back (figuratively, in this case). The finale ended with it unclear if Jon survives and, based on what Kit has to say about Season 4, the prognosis doesn’t look good.

“[There will be] more deaths this season than any other!,” he explains before saying exactly what we don’t want to hear: “I can’t tell you who dies.”

Kit, we understand you have contractual obligations and all that jazz, but maybe you can explain the thinking behind killing off even more characters? “You’d think they’d tone the deaths down, but they don’t. They’ve realized that’s a successful option, so they’re just killing more people than we’ve ever killed.”

A successful option it may be, but as readers of the books know, author George R. R. Martin rarely holds back when it comes to knocking off characters, key or otherwise. Interested in who might go in the next season? We’ve got the details but, be warned, some of these spoilers get a tad gruesome.
