As any fan of Game of Thrones knows, no character is safe. Main characters can die at a moment’s notice, no matter how popular they are amongst fans. So, should we be worried about the fate of the future Queen of Seven Kingdoms, Margaery Tyrell, in Season 4? The A Song of Ice and Fire book series provides the likely answer.

Margaery’s going to have a pretty big season in Season 4. After all, she is slated to marry Joffrey, making her Queen of the Seven Kingdoms, in what by all accounts is going to be a lavish ceremony. So she shouldn’t have anything to fear right? Except for one tiny little thing that happens at the wedding: Joffrey dies. Actually, he doesn’t just die, he’s murdered. Poisoned. Does that mean Margaery’s next on the chopping block?

Margaery’s got a lot going for her. She’s smart, pretty, and she’s great with poor people. Because of all these reasons and more, she needs to watch her back. Cersei already isn’t crazy about Margaery, and once Joff is murdered, we wouldn’t be too shocked to find out that Margaery was the one who poisoned him. If that’s the case and Cersei finds out, watch out Margaery!

Also, after Joffrey dies, the Tyrells still think Margaery should be queen, so what do they do? Why, they marry her to Joffrey’s little brother Tommen, of course! Once that goes down, Cersei really has it in for her new queen, so does that mean lights out for Marge?

Look, Margaery’s too smart to be taken down by Cersei. The day Cersei can keep her own house in order is the day Margaery should worry about her. Don’t get us wrong, Cersei will try to take down Margaery, but she’ll only fail and bring herself down instead. We might have to wait until Season 5 to witness Cersei’s downfall, but when it comes, Margaery will be right there, laughing along with us.
