Of all the new cast additions to Game of Thrones Season 4, one of the most-anticipated has to be the revamped Mountain. Will he be big enough? Scary enough? Strong enough? Well, thanks to Instagram, we now have a good idea of what to expect.

Thor Bjornsson, the Icelandic strong man (yes, that’s literally his occupation) who is set to portray the Hound’s brother in Season 4, has posted the first photo of himself in costume as the Mountain to his Instagram account, and all we can say is: Yikes.

Despite his big smile in the photo, Thor still manages to look menacing, mainly because he is absolutely enormous. His arms look like they’re going to burst forth from their chain mail prisons and the way he’s casually carrying what looks like a six-foot long steel sword (by the blade, mind you) is rather unsettling. In other words, we’re now totally psyched to see this Mountain in action.

The Mountain has been rather under-utilized in the first three seasons of GoT, and Thor is the third actor to portray the character on the show. However, Season 4 is going to feature the Mountain’s biggest and most-memorable scene from the books, and it looks to us like Thor is up for the task. We mean, how could he not be, his name is Thor.
