Game of Thrones Season 4 hasn't even hit the airwaves yet, but we’re already receiving news about Season 5!

TV Line is reporting that Michiel Huisman, who is replacing Ed Skrein in the role of Daario for Season 4, will be returning for Season 5. Not only that, but Huisman will also be promoted to a series regular in Season 5, rather than a guest star. Wow, the guy hasn’t even appeared in an episode yet and he’s already making an impression!

This news seems to support the idea that Game of Thrones will fully get behind the building of a relationship between Daario and Dany. The pair does have a romance in A Song of Ice and Fire, albeit a brief one, but we can probably expect the show to turn their fling into more of a love story. Next season we'll also be introduced to Dany’s future husband, Hizdahr Zo Loraq (Joel Fry), which should further add to the romantic drama in Season 5 when Daario is a series regular and, possibly, we witness Dany’s wedding.

The news should be welcome to George R. R. Martin. The series author has voiced concern about the show catching up to him in the story, especially with plot details from the fifth and most recent book in the series seeming to pop up in Season 4, but if Daario is going to be around a lot in Season 5, that seems to suggest that the show will be slowing down Dany’s story a bit going forward, since Daario is MIA for much of Book 5.
