Another week, another starring role for Game of Thrones star Kit Harington. The actor, who rose to fame for his portrayal of bastard of the Night’s Watch Jon Snow on HBO’s hit fantasy series, has snagged the male lead in the upcoming film Testament of Youth, the latest in what’s becoming a trend of high profile movie roles for the 27-year-old actor.

The film is based on the 1933 autobiography of Vera Brittain, who studied at Oxford, served as a nurse during World War I, and eventually became a feminist and writer. Kit portrays Brittain’s fiancé in the film, while Alicia Vikander stars as Brittain. The two actors worked together previously on Seventh Son, an epic fantasy film due out next year.

The film is to be directed by James Kent, and is being produced by David Heyman, who also produced Oscar contender Gravity.

In addition to Testament of Youth and Seventh Son, other upcoming films for the currently on-fire Kit include Spooks: The Greater Good, which starts filming this month, How to Train Your Dragon 2, which comes out this summer, and Pompeii, which opens later this month and just gained some notices thanks to its thrilling Super Bowl commercial.
