In case you somehow forgot, Theon Greyjoy had a bit of a tough time in Game of Thrones Season 3. He was beaten, flayed, castrated, and tortured to no end by Ramsay Bolton throughout the season in scenes that were sometimes difficult to watch. But according to Alfie Allen, who portrays Theon on the show, Theon got what he deserved.

“Without a doubt, he had it coming,” Alfie told Zap2it, referring of course to Theon’s actions in Season 2, when he invaded his former home, Winterfell, killed Ser Rodrik Cassel, and murdered two farm boys to pass them off as Bran and Rickon. “I mean, you know, in his defense I always just say that he's just a very bad decision maker,” Alfie went on to say. “And, you know, that through whatever reasons they may be that he makes bad decisions, he's always trying — he's not trying to be bad, do you know what I mean? He's just trying to be Theon Greyjoy and this person that he thinks he should be.”

Whether he deserved it or not, let’s hope the worst of it is over for Theon in Season 4. We really don’t need to watch more torture scenes!

What do you think? Did Theon deserve everything that happened to him last season? Sound off in the comments!
