HBO has released a fourth trailer leading up to Game of Thrones Season 4, and we are once again treated to some new clues about what’s going to happen on screen in the Seven Kingdoms and beyond. Here’s what stuck out to us as fans of the A Song of Ice and Fire book series.

The hunt for Starks. Ramsay Bolton gives a chilling speech to his father and new Warden of the North, Roose Bolton, saying, “The Starks have always ruled the North. If they’re alive, the country will rally to the side. But Arya Stark hasn’t been seen since her father was killed.” This quote then leads directly to Brienne saying to Jaime, “I’ll find her.” So begins the quest for the missing Stark girls!

Ramsay is going to try to locate Arya so he can marry her, thus uniting the North and making even Stark loyalists fall in line behind the Boltons, but, if the show follows the books, he’s going to end up marrying a fake Arya and passing her off as the real thing. Meanwhile, Brienne thinks that Arya is dead, and she’s actually going to be sent on a mission by Jaime to look for Sansa, who’s going to disappear following the events of Joffrey’s wedding.

The wildling invasion. We also see some new clips of just how massive the wildling invasion at the Wall is going to be, with Jon Snow fending off lots of foes and chunks of the Wall appearing to blow up while Jon says, “Mance has all he needs to crush us.” This campaign isn’t just going to be a tiny ranging mission sent to Castle Black; Mance Rayder is throwing everything he’s got at the Wall next season. This will be the last stand for the wildlings.

Trouble in paradise. Could there be friction between incestuous lovers Jaime and Cersei? The trailer closes with Jaime angrily asking, “Why have the Gods made me love a hateful woman?” as he kisses Cersei. We’re guessing this could be their last kiss, as we expect Jaime at some point next season to finally see how awful Cersei is and end their relationship. ‘Bout time.

Bran looking mystical. Bran is seen in a weird, glowy setting as Jojen Reed pleads to him, “This isn’t the end. You need to make it.” Since we know the Three-Eyed Raven has been cast for next season, it looks to us like he is in the Cave of the Three-Eyed Raven, and very close to discovering his destiny as the next Greenseer.
