Game of Thrones has never been a show to shy away from big scenes, and it appears the show is taking that philosophy to a whole new level in Season 4. In an interview with HitFix, show creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss reveal that one upcoming episode has a single scene that takes up half an episode!

“The long scene you mention struck as a rare opportunity,” the pair says after asked about what is essentially one scene that takes up half an episode. “For us it's fun to see characters who normally occupy separate storylines collide like charged particles in an accelerator. What if Cersei met Brienne? What if Loras bumped into Jaime?"

"But beyond those moments, there's great pleasure in taking a show which normally bounds between locations and slowing it down, lingering on the moment," they added. "When a wedding congregates so many of our characters, we dwell on that congregation at length.”

It sure sounds to us like the scene the two are describing is the upcoming royal wedding of Joffrey and Margaery, which we expect to occur in Episode 2, which is titled The Lion and the Rose (the sigils of Houses Lannister and Tyrell, respectively). We wonder what other characters got an invitation to the nuptials? Perhaps Roose Bolton and Walder Frey? We can only hope!
