Out of all the characters on Game of Thrones, the most powerful of them all just might be Bran Stark. While Bran appears to the outside world to just be a kid who can’t walk, he also has a bunch of nifty powers. Here’s what he can do, based on the A Song of Ice and Fire books.

Warg. Bran is a warg, meaning he has the ability to impart his consciousness into the body of an animal. While Bran’s abilities initially came to him only in dreams in relation to his direwolf Summer, it is now widely believed that Bran could warg into any animal... maybe even a dragon.

Human warg. While wargs aren’t unheard of beyond the Wall (remember Orell), Bran is the only warg capable of inhabiting another human’s body. Bran’s done this with Hodor before, and he will likely do it again.

Greenseer. In addition to warging, Bran also has strong prophetic abilities that he’s just now beginning to understand. Once he finds the raven beyond the Wall, Bran will eventually be able to see the past, present, and future of whomever he wants. A useful power, indeed.

Weirwood Facetime. Bran also seems to have the ability to communicate through Weirwood trees across vast distances. There is a scene in the most recent A Song of Ice and Fire book, A Dance with Dragons, where someone sees Bran’s likeness in a Weirwood tree and hears it whisper to him. This is both the newest and least-developed of Bran’s powers, but it’s no less awesome than the rest.
