Game of Thrones Season 4, Episode 3 saw the return of Petyr “Littlefinger” Baelish (Aidan Gillen), the show’s most conniving schemer. He revealed himself to be behind the extraction of Sansa from King’s Landing, and seemed to know a lot about King Joffrey’s murder for someone who wasn’t there. So now that Littlefinger has Sansa in his creepy grasp, what can we expect from the show’s latest odd couple?
“I think with Sansa there are some things that are maybe surprising in that relationship [with Littlefinger],” Aidan tells IGN. “Her personality is changing too. She's shown herself to be more of a free thinker and player herself. She's shown a clever, more mischievous and possibly even dangerous side, which will become apparent in later episodes.” Sansa becomes dangerous? Seems like Littlefinger is really going to have an influence on her!
Aidan also discusses how his relationship with Sansa may be inspired by his love for her mother, but maybe not in the creepy way we’re all thinking, “I think that there is a genuine feeling — even if it is in a parental way — towards Sansa ... There’s a certain amount of mentoring going on in Season 4 as well [with Sansa].”
Aww, maybe Littlefinger’s not that sketchy after all! (OK, probably he is.)
