On Game of Thrones, Sophie Turner portrays Sansa Stark, who is the oldest living trueborn Stark. Having said that, she’s still pretty young. In the A Song of Ice and Fire book series, upon which GoT is based, Sansa is eleven years old throughout the series. However, the books take place in a shorter time period than the show does, and the show aged the children up to being with. In Season 4, Sansa is about fifteen. But how old is Sophie?

While Sansa is still a child, Sophie technically is not. The actress turned 18 this year on February 21. She was born in 1996.

Just for comparative purposes, Peter Dinklage, who portrays her husband Tyrion, is 44, while Aidan Gillen, who plays her creepy suitor Littlefinger, is 46. So yeah, she’s still way too young for either of those guys!

Who is close to Sophie in age? Well, it pains us to say it, but the late King Joffrey, Jack Gleeson, is 21, which is not too far off! Too bad he was such a psychopath; it’s so hard to meet young guys in Westeros...

Game of Thrones Season 4 airs on Sundays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on HBO.
