On Game of Thrones, it’s easy to get around without a car, and also necessary, since the technology for automobiles has yet to be invented in Westeros. In the real world, though? Not so much. That’s presumably why one star from the hit HBO fantasy series is currently taking driving lessons.
Maisie Williams, who portrays lil’ murderer Arya Stark, is getting behind the wheel in her native UK, according to People. Maisie posted a photo of her driving school vehicle on her WhoSay account, along with the caption, “Theory test booked. Slowly but surely making progress. Thanks reddrivingschool.” Apparently, Maisie has taken to driving as easily as Arya has taken to killing, as Maisie tweeted at the beginning of her lessons, “Thought I would be awful at driving, turns out I had a really successful day and can't wait for more.”
Maisie is 17, which is the age legally required to obtain a driver’s license in the UK, so she’s not wasting any time in taking her lessons. Will a future episode of GoT feature Arya and the Hound cruising around the Riverlands in red convertible? No, no it won’t, but at least Arya will be able to drive herself to the set next season!
