In the past, the penultimate episode of each Game of Thrones season has been the biggest, so of course we're eager to know what Season 4, Episode 9 ("The Watchers on the Wall") has in store for us.

Unfortunately, the official synopses of the episode doesn't give us a whole lot to go on. All it says is "Jon Snow [Kit Harington]  and the Night's Watch face a big challenge." We're pretty sure just living at the Wall is a big challenge!

As cryptic as this synopsis is, it's not totally useless. We know Mance Rayder (Ciarán Hinds) has amassed his army and plans to make a move on the Wall, so it seems pretty safe to guess that this episode will involve his attack. That would certainly fit with the theme of epic ninth episodes, and we know that the episode was directed by Neil Marshall, the man who brought us Season 2's unforgettable "Blackwater" episode. Clearly, he's the go-to guy for big battles, so it would make sense that this episode also involves a massive conflict. Plus, this sneak peek photo is pretty exciting...

Whatever the case, we're pretty sure we can count on this being a good one!
