Jennifer Lawrence, prepare to meet Daenerys Stormborn Targaryen. J.Law’s boyfriend Nicholas Hoult is starring opposite Emilia Clarke in a new adaptation of the classic tale of Bonnie and Clyde and spoiler alert, it’s going to be awesome.

Emilia and Nicholas will play the pair of young criminals in director Michael Sucsy’s upcoming take on the film. The project, called Go Down Together, is adapted from a non-fiction book of the same name written by author Jeff Guinn.

Billed as “the true, untold story of Bonnie and Clyde,” the story follows lovers Clyde Barrow and Bonnie Parker on their murderous rampage through the Depression-era South. They left at least seven bodies in their wake and we’d guess twice as many broken hearts.

As amazing as we know Emilia will be — this is the Mother of Dragons we’re talking about after all — a small part of us can’t help but wonder what J.Law would have looked like in this role. We know she and beau Nicholas already work well together (see X-Men) and they’ve got that whole real life couple thing going for them too.

What do you think? Surprised at this casting choice for Emilia or think she’s the perfect fit? Any thoughts on Jennifer as Bonnie?
