As you can tell from the title, Game of Thrones Season 4, Episode 8 (“The Mountain and the Viper”) will feature what could be one of the most epic fight scenes in the history of the show, with Oberyn Martell (Pedro Pascal) taking on The Mountain (Thor Bjornsson) in a battle over Tyrion's (Peter Dinklage) fate.
What else can we expect from the episode, which won't air until June 1, 2014? While we don't know many details, we do have some info, mostly thanks to the official synopsis and promo. Here's what we know — with no book spoilers included!
An attack on Mole's Town. The official synopsis teases that "unexpected visitors arrive in Mole’s Town" and, as we see in the promo, that means Wildlings. And no, they aren't there to make friends.
Littlefinger questioned. The synopsis also says "Littlefinger's [Aidan Gillen] motives are questioned"; in the promo it looks like he is on trial (either formally or not) for what happened to Lysa Arryn (Kate Dickie). Will Sansa (Sophie Turner) reveal his murderous ways, or help cover up the crime?
Ramsay makes a move. Meanwhile, "Ramsay Snow [Iwan Rheon] tries to prove himself to his father." That means taking Moat Cailin, and, as we see in the promo, he's going to use Theon (Alfie Allen) to do it.
"Tyrion’s fate is decided." You know what that one means: Fight!
