After the news that Game of Thrones has picked up a couple nominations from the Television Critics Association, it should come as no surprise that the show is also receiving praise from the Critics' Choice Awards. Those critics sure do love them some Game of Thrones!

The Broadcast Television Journalists Association has unveiled their nominees for this year’s Critics' Choice Awards, and GoT picked up two nominations. The show is predictably up for “Best Drama” against foes both familiar and new. Its competition is comprised of AMC’s Breaking Bad, FX’s The Americans, CBS’ The Good Wife, Showtime’s Masters of Sex, and rounding out the field is HBO’s True Detective, which was nominated in the “Best Mini-Series” category at the TCA Awards and continues to confuse everyone as to how it should be categorized.

Also nominated from GoT is Dame Diana Rigg for her portrayal as “Queen of Thorns” Olenna Tyrell. She’s up for “Best Guest Performer in a Drama” against Beau Bridges (Masters of Sex), Walton Goggins (FX’s Sons of Anarchy), Allison Janney (Masters of Sex), Joe Morton (ABC’s Scandal), and Carrie Preston (The Good Wife).

Shockingly, none of GoT’s main cast received any nominations, so here’s hoping that the show can bring home the trophy to make up for their omissions.
