In Game of Thrones Season 4, Episode 8, Jorah Mormont (Iain Glen) was banished by Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) for having spied on her for Robert Baratheon way back in Season 1. When we see him last, Jorah is riding alone out of Meereen to parts unknown, but which unknown parts does he end up in? Read on to find out!

The next time we see Jorah, at least based on the books, it’s going to be in a brothel in Essos, and he’s going to run into a familiar face: Tyrion (Peter Dinklage).

Tyrion makes his way to Essos after escaping from prison, but his luck changes when he runs into Jorah. Jorah captures Tyrion so he can take him back to Dany, hoping that this will atone for his earlier betrayal and convince Dany to let him back in her circle. However, the two are captured by Yunkish slavers (along with a third companion, the dwarf Penny, whom we’re kind of hoping is omitted from the show).

The trio eventually make it to the gates of Meereen as slaves, but are able to escape when their slave master dies. They throw in with the Second Sons, who at this time are fighting for Yunkai against Meereen, but are preparing to turn their cloaks and fight on Dany’s side instead. While Jorah and Tyrion are both hoping to run into Dany, it’s probably not going to happen any time soon since by the time they reach Meereen, Dany is no longer in the city.
