In the books, Dany still has a lot to do in Meereen. She locks up her dragons, except for Drogon who escapes, after they eat a kid. She is faced with a group called the Sons of the Harpy who are killing her men in the streets. She marries Hizdahr zo Loraq in an attempt to gain peace, meets and rebuffs Quentyn Martell who releases her dragons, and is faced with plague and war at her gates from Yunkai. So she should have plenty to do next season without going to Westeros.
However, she does eventually leave Meereen... on the back of Drogo, and ends up in the Dothraki Sea where she comes across one of Khal Drogo’s old Khalasars. This is where the book leaves her, but it’s possible the show could surpass this storyline. Depending on how much of what goes on in Meereen the show condenses next season, they could get into some Winds of Winter territory, and if that happens, all bets are off. While we don’t expect Dany to head to Westeros at the beginning of Winds of Winter, we just don’t know for sure, but we’re going to call it anyway: No Westeros for Dany in Season 5.
