In the books, Dany sticks around in Meereen for a long time. A seriously loooong time. She will likely face a number of challenges next season, but we bet in the Season 5 finale she departs her adopted city.

In the books, Dany is faced with a budding revolution in her streets. There are many who preferred the old way of doing things in Meereen, which was hinted at in “The Children,”  and those who do are going to become violent. A group called the Sons of the Harpy starts killing those loyal to Daenerys, but one man promises he can quell the violence: Hizdahr zo Loraq, the nobleman's son we met this season. Hizdahr wants to marry Dany and rule by her side, promising that he can bring peace. Dany obliges, and peace returns for a time, leading some to believe Hizdahr was the instigator of the violence to begin with.

Hizdahr also wants Dany to reopen the fighting pits in Meereen, and Dany caves to this request. However, during the first fight, Drogon shows up and wreaks havoc in the pit. Dany goes to her child and climbs onto his back, flying away to the Dothraki Sea, where we predict her Season 5 arc will conclude.
