Arya Stark (Maisie Williams) ended Game of Thrones Season 4 by sailing off to Braavos. On her own. That's pretty baller, but it also seems like a good way for her to get herself killed.

This year, all the remaining Starks managed to make it out of the season alive. Will Season 5 change that? Is Arya likely to lose her life on her new adventures? The A Song of Ice and Fire books give us a clue.

Never fear, guys: Arya's a tough one to kill. Unless the show takes a wild departure from the books, she's gonna be... Well, if not "just fine," at least totally alive.

The fifth season of Game of Thrones is supposed to be based on the fourth and fifth books of the A Song of Ice and Fire series, which run more or less concurrently. At this point, we don't know if Season 5 will cover the entirety of both books, so we're not sure exactly where Arya's plot will finish off. But the good news is that she lives through A Dance With Dragons, so no matter what she should make it through Season 5.

You can get a rundown on everything that might happen to Arya here. The short version: she starts to train to become a Faceless Man, AKA one of those face-changing assassins. And she does pretty well at it. That might be bad for her morals, but it's great when it comes to basic survival skills, so we expect her to continue to scrape by in the books and seasons to come.
