Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) has never had an easy life on Game of Thrones, and now that she's made herself queen of Meereen, things are harder than ever for the Mother of Dragons. Leading is difficult, especially when your "children" are going around killing actual children.

With all the unrest she's caused, could Dany find herself on the wrong end of an assassin's knife next year? It's clear she has enemies, so will Season 5 be her last? The A Song of Ice and Fire books give us a clue.

Good news, Dany fans: Unless the show suddenly departs from the books in a totally unprecedented way, Dany will make it out of Season 5 alive, though she might have a close call or two.

It's hard to know exactly how much of Dany's story will be covered next season. Season 5 is said to combine the fourth and fifth books of the A Song of Ice and Fire series, which run concurrently, but we're not sure if it's going to cover all of both books or if it doesn’t, where it will leave off in the various storylines.

Still, you can get a rundown of what's likely to happen to Dany here. The short version is that she continues to struggle to keep Meereen's political situation in check, and at one point it seems clear someone tried to poison her (people really like trying to poison Dany), but she makes it out of the city alive — on the back of Drogon!
