Game of Thrones without boobs? According to an alert sent out by the BBC's smartphone app yesterday, Season 5 of HBO's epic fantasy won't feature any nudity. But before you start booing (or cheering), hold up — it turns out the whole thing was a mistake.

Yesterday, June 25, millions of BBC app uses received the following odd update: "NYPD Twitter campaign ‘backfires’ after hashtag hijacked. Push sucks! Pull blows!” the breaking alert said. “BREAKING NEWS No nudity in latest episode of Game of Thrones!!! More BREAKING NEWS IIIIII like testing." (Check out a screencap of the alert here.)

As you can probably guess, since most of that is nonsense, this message was sent by mistake. The BBC quickly apologized, explaining "we've been in the process of testing new functionality for our apps and a test message was sent in error this morning."

Cue a sigh of relief. While we've taken some issue with the amount of gratuitous nudity Game of Thrones has used in the past, the idea of the show going from all boobs, all the time to no nudity just gives us tonal whiplash. We're not sure what it would be like to live in a world where we don't see at least a few butts every GoT season.

The main takeaway from this kinda bizarre, mostly funny story? Someone involved with testing apps at the BBC is a Game of Thrones fan with a spot-on sense of humor. Love it!
