Of all the characters on Game of Thrones, perhaps no one has surpassed his book popularity more than Bronn (Jerome Flynn). The sarcastic sellsword is considerably funnier and more charming in the show than in the books, which leads us to think he’ll be featured more heavily in Season 5 than you'd expect based just on the books. Here’s what we think we could see from Bronn next year.

In the books, Bronn isn’t seen again on the page following his farewell to Tyrion. He is mentioned a few times by Cersei, mainly as a thorn in her side. As we know from the show, Bronn is marrying dimwitted Lollys Stokeworth. In the books, Lollys is already pregnant by someone else when she marries Bronn, and Bronn names her son Tyrion as a half joke/half tribute to his friend, which clearly annoys Cersei. Cersei conspires with Lollys’ older sister and her husband to murder Bronn, which backfires when Bronn kills the husband and kicks Lollys’ sister out of her own castle, eventually leading to her demise and making Bronn Lord of Stokeworth. Bronn alluded to having Lollys’ sister killed in the show, meaning that the show could have him be more directly involved in her dwnfall.

Furthermore, it’s entirely likely the show will create more plot for Bronn. Since Bronn has taken on Ilyn Payne’s role from the books as Jaime’s trainer, it even seems likely that Bronn ends up traveling with Jaime. In the books, Jaime goes to the Riverlands, but the show is reportedly sending him to Dorne, hopefully with Bronn in tow. A supposed leaked audition tape has Bronn conversing with Sand Snakes Obara and Tyene, after apparently being bested in battle by them, so that could be something to look forward to in Season 5.
