Game of Thrones has helped launch many of its younger actors to international stardom, and it looks like Rose Leslie (Ygritte) is the latest ex-Westeros resident to go on to big screen glory in the wake of the show.

The gorgeous redhead — who also had a big role in Downton Abbey's first season — has been cast as the female lead in The Last Witch Hunter, where she'll star opposite none other than Vin Diesel. Big deal? Definitely!

The flick is a supernatural action story in which a semi-immortal witch hunter (that's Vin Diesel) is forced to team up with a female witch (that's Rose) to stop an evil witch queen from destroying the world. You know, everyday stuff. It's set in modern day New York City, which is a fun twist on this kind of fantasy film, which normally gets set in the past.

In case you were wondering: Yes, along with being his partner in world-saving, Rose's character will also be Vin Diesel's love interest. Hopefully his character knows more than Jon Snow!

This movie sounds pretty cool to us. Congrats, Rose!
