If there were one departed character whom we wished were still on Game of Thrones, it would probably be the unbelievably awesome and gone-too-soon Oberyn Martell, played by Pedro Pascal. Not surprisingly, Pedro shares our sentiment.

During an appearance at Comic-Con to help promote Ommegang Brewery’s newest GoT beer, “Valar Morghulis,” Pedro fielded questions from fans, one of whom asked if he’s happy with his impactful exit from the show or if he would rather still be on it.

“I think that ultimately, selfishly, I would want to still be on Game of Thrones, only because they are the greatest people I’ve ever worked with,” Pedro admits. “I had such a good time, and I’ve never been so challenged. Even if my part would shrink to a fraction of what it was, to get to be there and be around everybody and hang out, it’s probably what I would opt for. I think I’m just going to guilt [executive producers] David [Benioff] and Dan [Weiss]. I’m just going to describe my depression to the point that they’re like, ‘All right! Ellaria [Sand] is going to have a dream!’”

We don’t know about you, but we’re definitely on-board with Oberyn returning in a dream sequence à la Khal Drogo... hopefully to get some revenge on The Mountain!
