Game of Thrones may be one of the most popular shows on TV, but that doesn’t mean all of its stars are flush with cash, apparently.
Lena Headey, who plays Queen Cersei on the HBO hit, claims that she’s out of money and is asking her soon-to-be ex for a big chunk of their tax refund to cover the expenses that the “less than $5 in her bank account” will not.
In documents obtained by TMZ, Lena requests that estranged hubby Peter Loughran immediately share $6000 from the couple’s $46,000 tax return from 2011 so that she can stop living off credit cards.
Lena claims that she expects to be able to cover her bills and provide for the couple’s 2-year-old son with her Game of Thrones money in the near future, but that for the moment, she needs quick cash.
She has offered to give Peter an equal amount from the return and put the remainder in a bank account that their lawyers have final say over, but there is no word on whether a judge will agree to this split.
We’re hoping Peter and Lena can work this out amicably, but if not, maybe she has a brother she's close to who can help her out?
