Richard Madden (Robb Stark) never had the chance to play a prince on Game of Thrones Robb making the ambitious leap right from Winterfell heir to King of the North but he will have his chance in an upcoming adaptation of Disney's Cinderella. Richard has been cast as Prince Charming in the Kenneth Branagh film and, may we say, we think his swoon-worthiness makes him the ideal man for the role.

Richard will not be alone in the star-studded cast. Cate Blanchett has been cast as the wicked stepmother, and Lily James (Downton Abbey) will be filling the glass slippers of the title role. The script for the film was penned by Chris Weitz, who has both About a Boy and The Golden Compass on his resume. Branagh has a similarly eclectic career, having directed both Thor and action thriller Jack Ryan, as well as a screen production of Hamlet.

Basically, it’s hard to tell how this film will turn out, but we’re on board as long as Richard is playing Prince Charming. He’s already proven in his role as King Robb that he can do courageous and noble. He even has experience dodging arranged weddings. He’ll be perfect! (Plus, this sounds like the beginning of a Hollywood film career for the Scottish actor, which we're 100 percent OK with.)
