Game of Thrones

Iwan Rheon

Looking for scoop on Game of Thrones actor Iwan Rheon? We've got all the latest Iwan Rheon pics, gossip, videos, and news right here!

Perhaps best known for playing painfully shy Simon Bellamy in E4's hit supernatural series Misfits, Welsh actor Iwan Rheon is playing a much darker — and more sinister — role in HBO’s Game of Thrones. As Ramsay Snow (or so we think), Iwan will have a recurring role in the series. However, this busy TV and Olivier Award-winning stage actor has a few other projects on his plate.

Born in Carmarthen and raised in Cardiff, Iwan took an interest in acting at age 17 when he first took part in school drama productions. He later attended the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. In 2008, he was cast to play the role of Moritz Stiefel in the London production of the Tony Award-winning rock-musical, Spring Awakening. He won an Olivier Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Musical in 2010.

Shortly after Spring Awakening closed, Iwan landed the role of Simon, a teen with the superpower of invisibility and precognition, in Misfits. Iwan left the BAFTA-award winning series in 2011 to focus on music and other projects.

In 2012, he was cast in Game of Thrones as sadistic Ramsay Snow (though it was unknown at the time) and in the ITV sitcom Vicious with Ian McKellen and Derek Jacobi. He made his Game of Thrones debut in Season 3, Episode 2: “Dark Wings, Dark Words.”

Iwan is also an accomplished singer-songwriter, having released three solo EPs. On April 7, 2013, he released his third EP Bang!Bang!. You can watch the music video for the title track here
