Game of Thrones fans know her as Cersei Lannister, but the HBO epic was hardly Lena Headey's first big role.
In fact, the English actress caught the attention of a casting agent at the age of just 17, due to her performance in a one-off show, and she's been working consistently ever since. Notable early projects include parts in The Remains of the Day, the live-action version of The Jungle Book, Mrs. Dalloway, Onegin, and Possession. Her starring role in 2000 drama Aberdeen earned her the Silver Iris Award for Best Actress at the 2001 Brussels European Film Festival.
Lena's rise to stardom took off after she starred alongside Matt Damon and Heath Ledger in Terry Gilliam's The Brothers Grimm (2005). After that she landed a number of high profile roles in films like Imagine Me & You and 300. In 2008-2009 she starred in cult hit TV show Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles as Sarah Connor.
Along with acting in Game of Thrones, Lena continues to appear in films, such as 2012's Dredd and 2013's The Purge.
