We're just about two months away from the highly-anticipated Season 4 premiere of Game of Thrones, and HBO has shared some exciting photos of what's to come!
First off, we get a pretty sweet glimpse of the extended Martell clan, including Pedro Pascal as Oberyn Martell, also known as the Red Viper. Behind him in a preview photo is Ellaria Sand (Indira Varma), Oberyn's paramour.
In addition to our new characters, we see what would be an old, familiar face — if he hadn't been re-cast. Daario Naharis, the budding love interest for Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke), was played by Ed Skrein for his Season 3 introduction, but starting in Season 4 he'll be played by Nashville and Treme alum Michiel Huisman. We still approve. And hey, with that beard he's at least a half-step closer to Daario's appearance in the book: blue hair, a three-pronged beard, and a gold mustache.
We also get to see photos of our favorite existing characters — the ones who are still alive, at least. Jon Snow (Kit Harington) looks sad, as usual, but he has a sweet scar now. Jon's little half-sister Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) looks sad and awkward (also the usual). A photo of Arya Stark (Maisie Williams) and The Hound (Rory McCann) give us hope for a buddy-comedy akin to that of Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage) and Bronn (Jerome Flynn). See them all here!
