George R. R. Martin Flips Off People Who Think He Won’t Finish Game of Thrones Books
Fans of the A Song of Ice and Fire book series have two main concerns: First, that writer George R. R. Martin won't finish the books before the TV show catches up with the story, and second, that he won't finish them at all. Well, George has some harsh words for fans that fall into the latter camp.
Although George is only 65, many fantasy fans have been burned by authors dying before they finish their epics series, and so are concerned A Song of Ice and Fire will suffer the same fate. But in a recent interview with Swiss newspaper Tages-Anzeiger, Martin made it clear exactly what he thinks of fans speculating over his death.
"I find that question pretty offensive, frankly, when people start speculating about my death, and my health," Martin mused, clearly annoyed. "So f—k you to those people." He added the middle finger, in case his anger wasn't clear.
