George R. R. Martin says Game of Thrones Books Are Dirtier Than the Porn

We already know that a Game of Thrones porn parody has been made, and now George R. R. Martin, the author of the books on which GoT is based, A Song of Ice and Fire, is weighing in on the subject.

During an appearance at the Santa Fe Independent Film Festival, Martin made the case that his books actually dive into more scandalous waters than the porno version dares to tread. He says, “There is an incestuous relationship at the heart of Game of Thrones, and you find out about it pretty early in the first book, but in the porn version that they're doing they've omitted the incest because that would just be too shocking. So my books are actually dirtier than the porn version!”

Clearly, incest has no place in the highly-respected world of pornography, and is best left to the bastion of debauchery that is epic fantasy. So does this really mean that Game of Thrones is dirtier than porn? It’s not as crazy as it sounds. Anyone who’s seen the TV series knows how raunchy it can be, but the books actually feature some scenes that go too far even for HBO!

So watch out, Larry Flynt, George R. R. Martin is coming for you!
