‘Girls’ Star Zosia Mamet’s Much-Mocked Kickstarter Flops at $2,783

We all love Shoshanna on Girls, but it seems as if the general population doesn't really care for Zosia Mamet and her sister Clara's hipster folk dreams.

The girls, who call themselves The Cabin Sisters, set out to raise $32,000 on Kickstarter to fund a music video for their obscure band. The funding period ended today and raised a total of $2,783 from 80 backers — less than 10 percent of their goal. That means with Kickstarter's all-or-nothing premise, they get nothing.

Zosia and younger sister Clara announced the project on May 26 and said they started the band as "an excuse to spend more time together." You know, it probably doesn't help that the girls have a famous father and are TV stars, with Zosia on HBO's Girls and Clara on NBC's The Neighbors.

It looks like the girls will have to just keep this as a hobby or fund the project themselves. Either way, there is YouTube, so hopefully we'll see some form of the full song sometime soon.
