Giudice Family and Friends Are “Very Worried” About the Girls — Report

Any kind of change is stressful, especially for kids. Unfortunately, there have been a lot of changes in a short period of time for The Real Housewives of New Jersey’s Teresa Giudice, her husband Joe Giudice, and their four young daughters.

It’s understandable for RHONJ fans to have little sympathy for Joe and Teresa, who pleaded guilty to fraud charges and will be sentenced in September (pushed back from July). But it’s also only natural to feel sorry for their girls — Gia, Gabriella, Milania and Audriana. None of this is their fault.

On top of worrying about what will happen to their parents (Joe is expected to serve jail time, and Teresa might as well), the girls also just lost their grandfather. Frank Giudice, Joe’s father, died unexpectedly on June 18. After it happened, eldest daughter Gia tweeted her disbelief: “this is not really happening right now, this is not real..”

There’s a lot of support out there for the girls from family, friends, fans and RHONJ cast members, but a source told RadarOnline that Teresa and Joe’s friends “fear for the kids.” The source added, “They are very worried about how the daughters are handling everything. They have been through so much stress lately, with the fear about the trial and their security and then to have their grandfather die in their home, this might be too much for them.”

The four girls are all ages 13 and under, which is young to have to deal with so many emotional and complicated situations; “and so their parents are rightly concerned about them,” the source said.

It’s at least a small break for the family to see sentencing moved from July 8 to September 23. The change reportedly didn’t have anything to do with Frank’s death, but it’s at least one less immediate burden to worry about.

RHONJ Season 6 previews have shown Gia to be particularly emotional about the family drama, perhaps because she might be the only one old enough to know about it and understand the implications. For now, she joins the family is focusing on the loss of her grandfather. As she wrote when sharing the photo shown: "strongest man I know.. I love you nonno❤️rest in peace 6/18/14."
