We’ve been hard at work tracking down spoilers, and now we’re combing through this new promo — second by second, frame by frame — in search of even more clues about what to expect. Take a look at what we’ve managed to uncover so far.
00:01 — All new... in three weeks!
Yes, you heard that right. Even though we just got back from a mini-hiatus just two weeks ago,
Glee is already heading out for another short break. New episodes won’t be back until Thursday, April 11.
Wait a second. What are Finn and Puck (Mark Salling) doing saxophone-filled karaoke at what looks to be a college bar? Did they both decide to enroll in higher education without telling us? And where are they going to school, exactly?
Wherever they are, the two of them are performing the Beastie Boys’ 1987 hit “(You Gotta) Fight For Your Right (to Party!)”
And judging from those aerial shots of crazy-costumed students running around, it certainly looks like these two are on a college campus. Rumor around the Internet says that Finn will be enrolling at the University of Lima. Is it possible that Puck’s decided to take classes, too?
Through a little bit of digging on Twitter and Instagram, we know that these colorful costumes are part of Glee’s upcoming performance of the Harlem Shake. We know Finn is involved with that one for sure. Oh, and so is a giant chicken suit.
00:14 — To get your Gleekin’ party on!
Rachel and Kurt (Chris Colfer) are in their apartment, and the two of them are clutching each other and jumping for joy. We’re not sure why — it seems too early for Rachel to have heard back about her Broadway role — but we’re guessing that phone in her hand probably has something to do with it. Who could Rachel possibly have just gotten off the phone with?
Whatever’s happening with Rachel, her ex, Finn, certainly seems to be enjoying himself at college. He’s sporting a cool pair of sunglasses, while a girl in a bikini dances behind him. Between this bikini girl, and the photo we’ve seen of a girl dancing in a bra top from a Finn dorm scene, it certainly sounds like Finn’s new university life could be getting scandalous. We don’t even want to think about the possibility of a new girl coming between him and Rachel, though. Finchel forever. No questions asked.
00:19 — Coach Beiste (Dot-Marie Jones) is back!
Luckily, she seems to have recovered from that random bout of Asian bird flu that kept her from attending her close friend Will’s (Matthew Morrison) wedding. Beiste is back, and she’s even playing chef!
“This is delicious,” Will says. Luckily, Beiste is more than willing to share her culinary secret. “I boiled the pasta in the hot tub in the training room.”
Uh... gross. If you’ll excuse us, we’ve got a cupboard in our kitchen that needs cleaning out. After that mental image, we’re fairly certain that we’ll never be able to eat pasta again.
