One of the most head-scratching mysteries leading into tonight’s Glee Season 4 finale is figuring out just who is Catfishing Ryder (Blake Jenner). But did Blake just throw us a (fish)bone by giving us a hint about who it might not be?

Blake spoke to
TV Fanatic about what’s in store for Ryder’s developing relationship with Kitty (Becca Tobin), and he appears to have dropped a pretty big bombshell regarding the Catfish storyline.

“As far as Kitty and Ryder go, I guess you can expect to see some regrets, [and] you can definitely see some things happening and Ryder still trying to track down who Catfish is
so that kind of gets in the way,” Blake says.

“So he's not really thinking about Kitty too much, but when the whole Catfish thing is revealed, which it does in the last episode, you can see something boiling for sure and something is happening,” he continues.

Wait — hold up! Did Blake just inadvertently tell us that Kitty isn’t the Catfish, since he won’t be thinking about her much in the episode? At any rate, that’s what we’re choosing to glean from this.

And this clue would seem to be in line with what Blake told The Hollywood Reporter recently. “There won't be too much of Jake and Kitty in this last episode since everybody is focusing on Regionals,” Blake said.

Hmm. While Unique (Alex Newell) is probably the most popular guess among fans as to who is doing the Catfishing, Kitty has remained a front-runner as well. So Blake may have just made it that much more likely that Unique is the culprit.

Long story short: Is it 9 p.m. yet?
